Mike Wendel, Council Coordinator.
Mike has been in conservation in PNW since 2013. He has his Masters in Natural Resource Management from Oregon State and has done previous work with Pacific Lamprey in Gales Creek.
Mike has been the Coordinator for the Tillamook Bay Watershed Council since May. He works to support collaborative efforts that protect and restore the health of local waterways and ecosystems. With a background in environmental science and a passion for community focused conservation, Mike brings experience in habitat restoration and species monitoring, originally from a small town on the Pennsylvania border, Mike has called Oregon home for over a decade, with past work and study taking him to places like Newport and throughout the North Coast region. When he's not out in the field or meeting with partners, you can find him hiking, fishing, or playing a little banjo by the river.
